Richard
Rotter: Team Leader
Richard Rotter was born 10/8/55 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
He went to college at the University of Colorado and the University of Wisconsin, and graduated with a BS
in Biochemistry. He then went to Dental school at Marquette University, class of 1981.
Richard worked as an associate in Milwaukee for one year, then moved to Seattle in 1982.
He has a private practice just north of University Village in Seattle.
Richard has two children, Rachel age 14, and Margaux almost 12.
Richard has been active in Rotary for over 4 years,
and is President Elect of the University Sunrise Rotary Club. He also participates in many dental associations.
His interests include fly fishing, golf, skiing, hiking, and wine.

Tom Banse
Public Radio Regional Correspondent Tom Banse covers politics, state
government, and general news from the state capital, Olympia. His stories can be heard during Morning Edition, Weekday, and All
Things Considered on Seattle radio stations KUOW-FM, KPLU-FM, and on other
National Public Radio stations in Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
Before taking the Olympia posting, Tom worked in the Seattle
bureau of United Press International. He got his start in radio at
WCAL-FM, a public station in southern Minnesota. Reared in Seattle, Tom
graduated from Carleton College in Northfield, Minnesota with a degree in
American Studies. In 1996, he spent two months reporting from Bonn and Berlin, Germany on a Arthur F. Burns Fellowship.
When he's not sifting through press releases, listening to lobbyists, or attending legislative hearings,
Tom enjoys exploring the Olympic Peninsula backcountry and cooking dinner with friends.

Michelle Cruver
Michelle Cruver is an energized and passionate educator committed to fostering global understanding in her local communities. Michelle currently
serves as the Student Organizations Coordinator and Student Programs Supervisor at Shoreline Community College in Shoreline, Washington. In this
role, she builds intentional and experiential student communities, serves as
a
coach to faculty clubs advisors, all while planning and implementing leadership training curricula. Michelle describes herself as a
person of action supporting the interests in her life: wellness, family, friends,
communities, and campus memberships. Sponsored by the State Employee Tuition
Exemption Program, Michelle is pursuing a Master's of Arts Degree at the
University of Washington in the Evan's School for Public Administration.
Outside of her professional career and student life Michelle wears many
hats: tri-athlete, road biker, yoga practitioner, family-centered
contributor, community volunteer and Feung Shui enthusiast.

Michelle Gauthier
Michelle was born in 1970 and raised on the southern
Oregon coast. After graduating with a BS degree in Chemistry and Physics
in 1992 from Western Oregon University, she immediately moved to
Seattle. Michelle worked for three years as an analytical chemist at a
full-service environmental laboratory in Seattle.
In 1995,
Michelle started working at Frontier Geosciences, an environmental
research firm and specialty analytical laboratory, where she was
primarily focused on the analysis of ambient-level environmental samples
for ultra-trace metals. In her past 6+ years at Frontier, the company
has grown from 13 to nearly 70 people, and Michelle has moved into the
position of Laboratory Manager. She also serves on the Board of
Directors and is a 10% co-owner of Frontier.
Michelle
lives in Seattle with her husband, Clint, and their adorable black lab,
Suzie.

David Policar
Born and raised in the Seattle area David is now 25 years old. He attended the University of Washington where he received a BS in Civil Engineering. David works for Entranco, a multi-service engineering and environmental consulting firm. His focus is on roadway and electrical design.
Outside of work David is an active fund raiser for both the United Way of King County and the Ballard Boys and Girls club. Some of his hobbies
include tennis, soccer, basketball, hiking, traveling and attending music concerts. |

Clint Merriman:
Alternate Team Leader
Clint Merriman originally hails from San Diego, California where he graduated from Point Loma Nazarene
University with a degree in Speech Communication and a minor in Theatre. He relocated to Seattle in the summer of 1997 to pursue a career in the Executive Search and recruitment industry with a large search firm. Most recently he has developed his own independent consulting
practice.
Clint is a resident of Issaquah and has been active in the Rotary Club there for over four years. He has served as program chair, Vice-President, and most recently lead an effort to place Automated External Defibrillators in public schools. He will also serve as the District Community Service Chair for the 2002-2003 Rotary
year.
His interests include travel, competing in triathlons, hiking, snowboarding, and watersports.

Fred Roberts
Fred Roberts is a 31 year old technology sales manager from Seattle, and
has been a North westerner his whole life. Fred was born in in Portland,
Oregon, and went to high school in rural Vancouver, WA. He attended the University of Washington in 1989 and fell in love with the Emerald City.
His wife, Tara, enjoys her own estate planning legal practice at their home in the
Greenlake neighborhood. They both enjoy SCUBA diving in all parts of the Puget Sound, and spend a lot of time at parks and in the community with our bulldog Miss Money Penny. |
